Asos still growing despite recessionary pressures

Sales at the online clothing store, Asos continue to grow fast, albeit at a slower rate. The slower growth is being put down to growing unemployment in young people and the levelling out of internet spending. Asos continues to expand its range with a new children’s line, higher-end labels such as G-Star and Polo Ralph Lauren and from August, customers will be able to buy Gap and Mango clothes online from Asos.

In April Asos announced that sales had doubled ('In the News' on 27 Apr 09).
