Maximum advertising per hour may increase

Ofcom currently restricts ITV 1, Channel 4 and Five to a maximum of 7 minutes of advertising per hour. However it is thought that the regulator will increase the maximum. The increase is uncertain, however it could be as much as 12 minutes per hour, which is the future European maximum. This is just 1 minute less than the US maximum.
