XP favoured to Vista

In January Microsoft launched its Vista operating system. Costing £3 billion and taking five years to develop, Vista was hoped to drive sales of new computers. However the release of Vista has been muted with consumers complaining about crashing machines and compatibility issues. As such many retailers are offering downgrades to XP on new computers. Dell for example brought back XP following a high volume of complaints on its customer forum Dellcommunity.com.
