"Try before you buy"
Ofcom has sent a letter to six of the UK’s largest ISP’s calling for them to allow their customer to try out broadband connections before they sign up to a contract. Companies including BT, Carphone Warehouse, Orange and Tiscali received the letter. The measure is designed to address the concern of many consumers who sign up deals with connection speeds that are significantly slower than the speed advertised.
