Bebo bid to bring young consumers back to TV

Bebo, the UK's largest social networking site, is to give users access to clips from the BBC, Sky, Channel 4, ITN and CBS in a deal that is hoped will bring the so-called 'lost generation' of young consumers back to television. Under the deal, Bebo users will be able to collect clips from shows such as the BBC's Doctor Who and Eastenders and display them on their profiles.

Bebo has also announced plans to work with smaller, independent programme-makers to produce new content for its site.
