Supermarkets "duping" customers

Mark Price the Managing Director of Waitrose has hit out at his larger rivals for "duping" customers in multi-million pound price cutting campaigns funded by pushing up the price of other products.

Mr Price is concerned that these price-cutting campaigns are destroying the concept of real value for money. “Value does not mean cheap,” he said. “Value is a combination of quality and price.”

His comments come just a few day after Sainsbury's and Asda were fined for fixing the price of milk as reported In the News on 7 December.
