Misleading promotion from EasyJet

The Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) ordered EasyJet to scrap a misleading promotion. The promotion ran last summer. It promised to refund customers double the difference if they could find a cheaper than £19.99 single fare deal in a five day period. However the small print restrictions made it practically impossible for customers to take up the offer and as such the ASA found that it contravened advertising codes. The complaint was filed by rival airline Ryanair.
