NCC to investigate regulators performance
The National Consumer Council, the Government body charged at dealing with consumer issues, today launches a year long investigation into industry regulators to rate their performance. The investigation comes with concerns over regulators being too close to the firms they regulate and the failure of regulators such as the energy regulator Ofgem to tackle higher than inflation price rises.
