British Airways Easter pilot strike called off
The British Airways (BA) pilot strike threat (reported 'In the News' 22 February 2008) over the Easter holiday has been called off. The strike would have affected over 100,000 BA passengers traveling over the holiday. The dispute between the British Airline Pilots Association and BA concerns pay and working conditions under BA's subsidiary airline Open Skies. The dispute remains unresolved and as such a strike at a later date is still possible.
