Post Offices could be rescued by County Councils
Post Offices facing closure could be thrown a lifeline after the Government announced its support for any County Councils that wished to take them over. Post Office minister Pat McFadden said that he would support such a move provided there was no increase in the current £150 million per year subsidy given by the Government to run the postal system.
