PlusNet tops broadband survey

50% broadband users in the UK are dissatisfied with their broadband providers according to a survey carried out by price comparison website uSwitch. This is despite broadband generally being the cheapest and fastest it has ever been.

The survey's top ranking goes to PlusNet, bought by BT a year ago, winning 9 out of the 11 categories including best customer service and best technical support. Sky took second place, with eight out of 10 customers satisfied and Virgin Media came third.

BT was the worst performer for value for money for the second year running. Orange was rated as the worst broadband provider overall.
