BT named as worst landline provider
Telecoms company BT provides the worst customer service of any landlines provider, according to price comparrison website, USwitch.com. Sky Talk was named as the provider giving the best service. Customers were generally satisfied with Talk Talk's product, voting it second overall. However, over half were unhappy with its customer service.
The findings are broadly reflected on Plebble, with BT showing as the worst telecoms provider and the fourth worst performing company overall. Talk Talk is Plebble's second-worst telecoms provider and its 14th-worst performer overall.
The survey also follows a report in February by the Citizens' Advice Bureau which singled out BT (along with British Gas) as failing on customer service (reported in 'In the News' on 5 February 2008).
