Morrisons wins £100k compensation for OFT's false claims
Supermarket chain, WM Morrison, has been paid £100,000 in compensation by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) after the OFT wrongly accused it of fixing the price of dairy products. The OFT now admits that the accusations, which were reported in 'In the News' on 20 September 2007, should not have included Morrisons although it says that other supermarkets have admitted liability. Supermarket chain, Tesco, also denies any wrong-doing.
