Microsoft launch cashback scheme through Live Search
In a bid to compete with Google, Microsoft are launching a cashback scheme on it's search engine Live Search. Under the scheme Live Search users will get cashback on products they buy through signed up retailers in the form of advertising-funded cash rebates. The service is being launched in the US, but if it proves successful Microsoft plan to extend it to other countries including the UK. The scheme includes over 10 million products from 700 merchants including 13 of the top 40 US retailers. eBay have also signed up to the scheme.
