FGW to abolish shared sleeper cabins
Train operator First Great Western is to cease offering shared sleeper cabins to passengers travelling alone on its overnight service from London to Cornwall. The shared-cabins, which were only available to passengers of the same sex, will be missed by many who used the service regularly. However, First Great Western has said that it considers it 'more appropriate in the modern age to allow people their privacy'. Couples will still be able to share a cabin.
