Talks aim to resolve Shell fuel delivery strike

As the Shell fuel drivers strike continues today (reported 'In the News' 13 June), talks between the Unite union and Shell will take place to try and resolve the dispute over pay. The strike action is due to cease at 6am tomorrow, however unless an agreement is reached, the next strike will take place on Friday. According to Government figures 647 petrol stations have run out of at least one type of fuel. The South West of England is reported to be the worst affected area as workers picketed an oil depot in Plymouth, which supplies Devon and Cornwall.
