Customer complaints prompt Ofgem to investigate NPower

Ofgem is launching an investigation into NPower over unfair billing. Customer complaints have mounted through Energywatch, the BBC watchdog programme, the Guardian, the Times and Plebble and relate to customers being overcharged by NPower. According to the Guardian NPower customers have been overcharged by £60 million. Ofgem now have enough evidence to mount an investigation into NPower's billing practices. Separate to this investigation Ofgem are examining mis-selling by NPower staff.
