Supermarket customers are 'shopping like chefs'

In comments yesterday from its chief executive, Justin King, Sainsbury's says that it is increasingly seeing its customers buying top quality cuts of meat mixed with cheaper basic ingedients such as rice, pasta and flour. The changes are thought to be symptomatic of people cutting back on eating out amid the looming economic uncertainty.
