Sainsburys online store goes offline for 2 days

Sainsbury's online store went offline for 2 days from 17 June. This left approximately 20,000 customers without the ability to order their food shopping. It is thought Sainsbury's lost £1.5 million in sales from the technical glitch. Shoppers who failed to have their orders delivered will receive a £10 voucher from Sainsbury's as an apology. Asda, Ocado and Tesco all benefited from Sainsbury's downtime, with Ocado reporting orders up 17% last night. Sainsbury's store is now back online.
