Waitrose to open convenience stores

Supermarket chain Waitrose is to open a line of convenience stores, starting with a trial in the next 6 to 9 months. The Stores, which are intended to compete with the likes of Tesco Express, Sainsbury's Local and M&S Simply Food, will be much smaller than Waitrose's existing stores and situated in town and city centres.
