Airlines forced to include taxes and fees in advertised prices

Airlines will soon only be able to advertise the 'true' cost of flights under new EU regulations passed today. The regulations will force airlines to include all unavoidable taxes, fees and charges (including surcharges for security and fuel) in their advertised prices. Optional items such as travel insurance will have to be clearly stated as being on an "opt-in" basis. The regulations are expected to come into force towards the end of this year.
