OFT claims to save consumers £326 per year

Consumer watchdog, the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) is saving consumers around £326 million per year, according to the OFT's own figures. £115m comes from its merger work, £122m from market investigation references to the Competition Commission, as well as general reviews of markets, £77m from enforcement of competition law and £12m from stopping scams.
