Ikea to launch mobile service for its loyal customers

From Friday Ikea is launching into the mobile phone market with a pay-as-you-go mobile package for its loyalty card holders. Ikea has approximately 1.4 million customers signed on to its loyalty scheme. These customers will be offered a deal of 9p per minute for calls and 6p per text. Ikea say that it is 25% cheaper than comparable pay-as-you-go offers.

To provide the service Ikea has teamed up with T Mobile, who will provide the network coverage. T Mobile covers several other mobile services including Virgin Mobile, Asda, Tesco and the Carphone Warehouse.
