BA worst large European airline for delays and lost luggage
Passengers of airline British Airways (BA) lose more bags and suffer more delays than any other large European airline, according to a confidential report seen by The Times. On average, 9 passengers on every British Airways jumbo jet flying between January and June this year would have lost their bags. One third of BA's short-haul and medium-haul flights and roughly one third of its long-haul arrivals and departures were at least 15 minutes late this year, well below the European average.
Britain's third largest airline, bmi, was the second worst-performing large airline for lost luggage this year.
