Age restrictions for mobile phone content discussed

Mobile phone companies could soon introduce age classifications for downloadable content available via mobile handsets. The move, which has been suggested by telecoms regulator Ofcom, would be intended to protect the large numbers of children with access to the internet via their mobile phone. More than half of nine-year-olds and 95% of 15-year-olds in the UK own a mobile phone.
