Survey reveals distrust with energy companies

A survey conducted for the Times found that 80% of those surveyed think that energy companies have used the volatile wholesale markets as an excuse to increase profits and only 6% believe the companies have no choice but to increase prices. This comes as E.ON and Scottish and Southern Energy were the latest energy companies to increase prices (reported 'In the News' 22 August).
