Foxtons Estate Agent breaches lending agreements

One of the UK's largest estate agent brands, Foxtons, is in trouble, as it emerged that it had breached lending agreements with its banks and their private equity firm owners have said they will not put any more money into the business.

During 2008, Foxtons appeared frequently in Plebble's worst ten performers and was in trouble with the Office of Fair Trading early last year over some of its practices (reported in 'In the News' on 28 Feb 08).
