Some of the staff in the dispensing department - those who interface with the public rather than the dispensers are extremely rude and offhand. One example was when my wife couldn't find a product that she regularly purchases: the assistant said she'd never heard of it but the chemist might know. When my wife asked to speak to the chemist she was told that she couldn't do so. The assistant said she'd look for it and my wife waited ten minutes for the assistance. She went back to the counter and the assistant shrugged her shoulders and said she'd forgotten. This is by no means the only occasion of rudeness and while not earth shattering is far from the helpful image that I am sure her employers would wish her to portray.

This has to be one of my favourite shops, I love their points scheme and I can easily spend hours browsing their make up, skin care, electrical aisles :-) Also love their website and order from their often, usually when I get bonus points. Then once or twice per year I treat myself to some goodies using my points. :-) Delivery from internet reasonably fast and very well packaged. I did order pharmacy items once, was really impressed when their pharmacist rang me and very professionally discussed my order to be sure it was safe for me to use medication. Not condascending like some pharacists, this chap was very friendly and personable. I find their staff in store great too. The Manager of my local store in Woking (Dave) is a really friendly chap and always remembers you when you go in.

I've used several different branches of Boots over the years as they generally have a good range of products and often have good special offers (e.g. 3 for price of 2). My only grumbles are 1. the checkouts can be rather small and not enough of them to cope with the queues 2. the aforementioned special offers can sometimes be very confusing when several different promotions are happening at once. Staff generally very helpful.

just cant find anything in their store. and you cant find anyone to ask. in the rare event of finding staff, they dont know where or what stock they have got.

Re the last comment: they get a lot right but the prices?! Even if I've got only a few things in my basket, I still never seem to be able to spend less than £20!

If you are coming in late on a flight, great tip is that they reduce all their sandwiches to just 75p if they have them left over for that days date. Bargain!

I wasn't expecting much when I bought my lunch from Boots today, but I was being unfair. The food was good and whole lunch cost me £3, which I thought was excellent expecially considering you would probably pay £5 at M&S.

Boots branches are not only life savers in terms of stocking what you want, but they have the incredible knack of being fantastically located wherever you need one!
