I think EasyJet have it spot on when it comes to cheap flights. The planes are satisfactory and fine for the short flights they provide. I do think they fail when it comes to checking people in through the airport. The seating arrangement does not work, the flights I have been on operate on a first come first serve basis and this just causes tension in the wait for the boarding. Everyone wants to get on first and it upsets others. Allocated seats would definitely be better, and possible also some complimentary drinks.

Fair play to easyJet, they've been very quick to refund my flight following the volcano nightmare.

I recently had a return flight booked to Athens. Easyjet cancelled the outward flight by email at less than 24 hours notice. Their website informed me I was entitled to change my outward flight for free, but there was actually no outward flights available until the day I was due to return. I was also entitled to a refund on the outward flight, but not on the return flight as there was no problem with this. I booked an outward flight for 2 days later with another airline, at a cost of £200 pounds each for both me and my son, in an effort to try and save at least some of the holiday (no refund available on the hotel and connexions I had now missed...). I then tried to obtain the refund for the outward journet via the easyjet website, but this link did not work and I was unable to due it before departing for Greece. When I returned I approached the Easyjet desk at the airport to try to resolve my problem. The woman on the desk informed that she had to leave immediately to attend to a flight, but that her supervisor would be back within half an hour to deal with my issue (she phoned to check). The supervisor did not appear, and we werer left standing at the empty desk for two hours before we gave up in exhaustion and made our way home, defeated. Easyjet completely ruined the begining and end of the first holiday I have had in years, and cost me an extra £400. I will never fly with them again, and would advise everyone not to do so - I feel angry evertime I think of the way that me and my son were treated.

On the 22nd of December me and my family had our flights from Madrid to London cancelled by Easyjet. EasyJet could only offer us a flight to Liverpool on the 27th or to London on the 28th of December. Since we were returning on the 28th, none of the options made sense for us and had to stay in Madrid. We were told Easyjet would refund the cost of the tickets. I asked about the return tickets (which were under a different booking reference, as not everyone was returning the same day) and was told by the staff at the airport that if we were not able to fly outbound, we would of course be refunded both ways or could change the dates for free to another time. I wrote my refund request for both flights on the 22nd and waited, and no reply came by the time the return flight took off from London without us on the 28th. This means I also lost the chance to change my flight dates, but I was following airport staff advice. Finally a refund came though for the outbound flight, still no reply about the return. Now EasyJet, after 5 letters of complain has told me, at first that they will not refund as it is not clear that it is a return flight of a cancelled one, and then saying that I cannot cancel my booking, as we are only allowed to cancel up to 24 hours after having made the booking on line. And reminded me to read the Terms and Conditions... Of course, 24 hours after I made the booking online (which was mid November 2009), my outbound flight was still schedule to take off... So there you go, they will not refund me for not a flight I could not take because they did not fly me there on the first place... amazing...

My EasyJet confirmation email came from 'blackhole@easyjet.com'. Sounded dodgy to me, but it's genuine. What's wrong with noreply? Also carrying sports equipment for £18.50 a flight isn't cheap. I no longer consider them to be a 'budget' airline.

EasyJet responded and have confirmed they are removing this email address. It's great to know they are listening.

When everything goes correctly you do not experience very much. However when there is the slightest hitch, eg ticket problems lost luggage or any other problem etc, you may as well kill yourself as the organisation is sourounded by total lack of any information, missdirected information and phone numbers contacts in lithuania and there is virtually nothing you can do or really speak to. In a nutshell there customer service is SH**

As a frequent flyer with easyJet,I am appalled at their response to a recent online booking difficulty. In brief,I made a booking online for 4 passengers. On printing out the confirmation,I noted that 3 of the 4 passenger names were recorded incorrectly.I assumed that this was a glitch with easyJets booking system.EasyJet has insisted that this was "my problem" and after several email exchanges with the customer services I had to pay a further £294 to change names. There was no written reply to 3 letters that I sent by recorded delivery to the CEO.The original booking cost £335.Even if "the problem" was an error on my part, how can easyJet justify a charge so excessive that it almost doubled the cost of my booking? I have tried to be balanced by giving easyJet a favourable rating for " value for money" because their regular flight costs are among the most competitive in the industry. This rating does not, however, take into account this recent immoral charge.

Still the same policy with EasyJet. My daughter booked her sister a flight from Geneva to Edinburgh. She initially put her own surname instead of her sisters, corrected thazt but the website kept resetting it back as it did as she. confirmed the bookingAfter five unsuccessful attempts to contact the custmer service phoneline she sent a email. This produced the response that she would have to pay the 60 pound charge with no consideration given to the cause of the problem. EasyJet you clearly lack any sense of fairness or justice to your customer who fall victim to deficiencies in the bookingservice you provide.

Now that these guys have bought up quite a few BA short haul routes - eg to the Algarve, easyjet are the chosen airline for premium holiday brands such a cudogan which presents an interesting position. These guys are a lot less low cost than they once were. Service is better than some let on although their prices are reassuringly not low cost in many cases. Quoted £380ish for a return to Faro today.

These guys are the best budget airline. They manage to make it about as painless as budget travel can get. Keep in mind they are not Cathay Pacific! But for my mind they are hugely better than Ryanair. I would rather rip my own eyeballs out than fly Ryanair again.
