I have purchased a Renault Clio from the used car section at this garage. They have lied throughout and I only wish I'd never set foot on the fourcourt.

On 03/02/2009 took Citroen Relay van into Citroen Stockton to have a alternator fitted under warrenty told vehicle would be fit to pick up at 5.00pm. Lunch time they phoned to say a tool was needed and van would be fit for pick up 5.00pm 04/02/2009. Lunch time on 04/02/2009 they phoned again to say to pick up on 06/02/2009. No one phoned on 6th so I phoned service reception at 3.00pm and was told van could be picked up at 5.00pm. Saturday 07/02/2009 went to pick van up at 10.00am and was told another 3 hours work needed to finish the repairs and would not be reedy till Monday 09/02/2009 as the only person capable of doing the job was not at work that day . I'm now £350.00 out of pocket on van hire. I find it hard to believe a garage can take 7 days to fit a alternator

After making an appointment to view a car, I travelled 35 miles to see it. The car was not there, it had been moved to another show room. So, after a hour of salesman small talk they located the car, but doubted they could get it for me to view unless I would put £100 down, absolute jokers!!!

this company it is truly terrible, the sales persons will tell you anything you want to hear, they are laughable. they are full of all the typical sales techniques, it was like an episode of rogue traders. for example, it took the sales man nearly two hours to purchase a tax disc for the car. the after sales was my main problem, there was non. if you buy a car and it goes wrong prepare to walk. i suggest they revise the way they treat customers, as their current methods will not last long! i have sent letters of complaint to both the branch and their head office, over a month later... NOTHING!

We phoned at about 12.00 to arrange to see a car. Went and 1.45 but car was not their, saleslady couldnt find it and eventually discovered that another employee had taken it off site. Strange there were at least 50 cars on the forecourt and the one we arranged to see had been taken off by someone else. Also prices were all higher thatn we found elsewhere and we were not offered a test drive in any other car despite being genuine purchasers. The attitude of staff was appalling and the knowledge of the saleslady about the cars non existent. We will not be purchasing a car from any Evan Halshaw garage.

further to my last rating, salesman james brown pulled out all the stops and managed to get my car finance sorted for me. all thanks to james and his manager for getting my car

after paying my deposit on a used zafira on a sunday, it has been 2 and a half weeks and they still cant give me a date to pick the car up and get a bit arsey whenever i ring to ask. also, they MOTd my part exchange for free as it ran out whilst i was waiting and when i got it back, there was still 2 rear lights off that were off before the apparent MOT as well as the handbrake also not being done even though its on 10 clicks. i have yet to see a MOT certificate for the supposed MOT. absolute garbage way to run a national car sales garage. will NEVER use again and i will be steering everybody i know away from this chain of garages

Have been to other main dealerships in past but was very impressed with service contact on arrival and explanation of how my complaint and problem with car would be handled and informed by telephone of diagnosis and repair cost and pick up time ? the workshop foreman came out on road test to diagnose fault and advised what should be done for repair This was not done at other main dealers ??? lesson to be learned by others. picked up car etc, like new again,brilliant, many thanks too m. Henderson for good diagnosis and organisation at svc desk
