i bought a DVD at Tescos yesterday thinking i was buying Quentin Tarantino's new film 'Inglorious Bastards' It turned out that i bought a very poor 1970s Italian film with the same title. The front cover of the DVD promisses an interview with Tarantino( who had absolutly nothing to do with this film) adding to the impression that this was his film. Now i do not think for a momement that Tescos suddenly believe there is a market for 3rd rate 1970s Italian films. However this could be seen a a very sharpe practise buy tescos by duping customers into buying a very poor film on the back the publicity and anticipation of Taratino's classic film. I hope at least i will get my money back and that it is made clear to other customers that this is not the Tarantino film.

Tesco's will do anything to maximise their profits. Ethics doesn't come into it. Let the buyer beware. After doing most of my shopping these days at Netto. I was amazed at how much more expensive tesco's are. The answer is - take your money elsewhere.

What is going wrong with the checkouts at Tescos? For over 2 months now getting served at Tesco's has been a nightmare. Tonight(7pm)at Askham bar in York queue's were4 deep for the regular check outs and a line 15 long for the self service(i really resent having to use self service.. waiting in line to operate the checkout in order to hand over my money to you.)Most of the regular checkouts were closed despite the demand. Why dont you employ sufficient staff? The ones you have look harrassed, stressed and over worked.I really feel sad for them

This is because however bad their customer service is, You keep shopping there and giving them your money. If all the dissatisfied customers made the effort to go somewhere else e.g. Morrisons. They might actualy wake up. Take your money elsewhere. Bye the way, Tesco's are not cheap.

I was recently overcharged for an item of clothing, it was put through twice. TESCO'S PROMISE (which is written on the walls of the clothing tills and customer service tills) is that if you are overcharged by an item you get double the difference back!!! not my promise TESCOs Promise! so i went back and disgussed with the cashier who agreed and had to get the manger to authorise! the Manager had the most disgusting attitude as she stormed up the the till said no your not having it and walked off! she then came back with another manager and said because i new someone who worked there i wasn't allowed it and whilst i was in mid sentence she walked away again i asked the other manager for there names and they said they would not tell me them!! i was APPALLED i can not express how disgusting there attitude was with me. they made me feel i was not a valued customer at all! im a clubcard holder and have spent hundreds of pounds in the clothing section not to mention our weekly shop! I will never shop in the clothing departmant ever again and will on shop in the food section if emergancy because we live close! Asda all the way for us now.

Typical Tesco's. Just because they are big, they think they can treat customers like rubbish. Spend your money elswhere.

this site should not be used for personal observations but as someone who IS registered disabled I cannot pack my own purchases without excessive pain . A good 75 per cent of the staff at this store have a SERIOUS attitude problem - inherited I suspect from the Manager who is pompous and arrogant As for Asda they have quality and good prices and their staff are human

You must have a bad store - whenever I'm in Tescos or Sainsburys they're always offering to pack my bags for me, even though I'm in my twenties and show no signs of any sort of disability. Maybe I look stupid and they think that I'll make a mess of it if I try? :)

can't see why anyone would ask staff to pack their purchases unless they were physically unable to do so themselves, my experience of staff packing, mainly in Asda, usually unasked for as you are putting purchases through the till, is that they use a lot more carrier bags than I would (this is the reason I stopped shopping there, this was some time ago so maybe they've changed). I use my local Sainsburys and Tesco, find them both very good.

The check out staff at my local store act like morons. Ask them to pack my purchases , get a look as if I had ordered them to jump through fire . They really do have a MASSIVE attitude problem

Let's face it Tesco's would like to be a monopoly and the bigger they get, the less they feel they have to care.

Poor staff and training. Customer service personnel often drafted in from tills. Customer complaints not dealt with online either! Own brand products are absolute rubbish and quality products are over-priced. Electricals are mostly out-of-date clearance lines and better prices can be found on the internet. Tesco want to be everything to everyone and that does not work.
