After being told several different tales by several different customer service agents, contacted company by e-mail but the problem was not dealt with and the response bore no relation to the queries I had posed. I confirmed this again by e-mail and got no reply. In total frustration wrote to the Managing Director At Vodaphone UK HQ. ( There is no customer services postal mail address that I could find on their website) Received no reply or confirmation of receipt. Then sent same letter by recorded delivery and still no reply

Plebble response
Plebble AdviceCentre Response:
This AdviceCentre article might help: http://www.plebble.com/advice-centre/how-to-complain-about-your-mobile-phone-provider/6.php. This includes links to Vodafone's Code of Practice, which if you enter scroll down, you will find details on their complaints procedure. Their address for formal complaints is:
Vodafone Ltd
Correspondence Management
Post Room, Balliol House
Banbury
Oxon OX17 3NS.
I'd mark the envelope "Formal Complaint." Hope you get some joy soon.

Because I haven't used my phone for some months, I've had my number disconnected. My phone is now unable to be used and the money I had on the phone is effectively confiscated by Vodaphone. They have not replied to my email. They could at least have given me some kind of warning by text or phone call before doing this. I'll never use them again.

Coming to the end of a 2 yr contract, not had any major issues with them, time will tell, and what sort of upgrade deal they will offer me, will significantly affect any future ratings

This was last year, but Plebble wasn't around then. Long story, but I broke my phone. I went in to the Vodafone store on Victoria Street, London and totally expected them to charge me a fortune for a new handset and simcard, because it was my fault and I had no insurance. The advisor was really sympathetic and telephoned head office for me. With them, he organised a new handset and simcard to be delivered to my door on the morning after for just £20. I still feel good will towards them and have just renewed for the 11th year - just goes to show that a bit of compassion and care for loyal customers is worth it. After looking at Orange's ratings, perhaps they should take note!

There is a long story behind this but suffice it to say that after at least 5 phone calls this week (each with a different person, all of whom gave me inconsistent information), a visit to a vodafone shop, and some time on their website I am still unable to pre-order the handset I want. This is despite the fact that I'm an existing customer of 10 years, but if I were a new customer I could do it online in a matter of minutes.

I have been with Vodafone for about 8 years now for no other reason than they have the best reception in the area I live, which is pretty patchy for mobiles. This loyalty seems to be paying off because I am now a member of their "Best Care" programme. I just received a call offering me an upgrade from their "Best Care" team and was impressed with the service. I felt that the assistant actually listened to what I needed rather than what you usually get - the hard-sell on whatever happens to be their latest offer. I think I've ended up with a pretty good deal and was impressed when they said the phone would arrive by 10am the next morning. But the biggest plus point was feeling I was talking to someone who was really listening and who had immediate solutions to the issues I raised. She dealt with my upgade, a billing address problem and direct debit change there and then - there was none of the usual "that's a different department, I'll have to transfer you."

Very pleasantly surprised by the service I got when I went to get a 3G data card from vodafone. Nowhere near the amount of hassle I thought it would be, and their prices are as good as the competition whilst in theory offering better speed, albeit at the cost of coverage. Will be back to rate when I've tried it out a bit more, but it took less than a minute from unpacking it to being on this site being able to rate with it :)

Was impossible to cancel a contract, I'd had it for well over the minimum 12 months, letters, e-mails, phone calls all vanished into the ether. No details on how to cancel on the back of the bill to start, I'd gone to Korea where I couldn't /use/ the phone, but it still took 5 months of them taking money before they acknowledged the registered mail asking for cancellation.
