In 18 months I've only phoned them once, and got the right answer very quickly.

I recently signed up to Be Unlimited based all the positive ratings on Plebble. Suffice to say, I haven't been let down. The sign up/connection process was simple, their technical support is very efficient and the speed is electric. Very impressed.

They're very capable, tech people can be talked to in technical terms. Very pleased. And incredibly cheap for the service and speed available.

While the iniitial migration to Be Unlimited's service took 2 weeks, not the 5 days we were told, this was due to a problem with BT's automatic systems which Be Unlimited were not aware of - delaying the process by around 5 or 6 days. Once connected, the broadband has been excellent. I have had 2 connection problems in 5 weeks. One for less than 2 minutes and the other was at 1.30am and lasted 25 minutes. The communication from Be's support team is better than any I have previously had. They respond quickly and concisely. In addition, I today received an unprmompted refund because of the delay in getting us connected. Now to me, any company that recognises an error or inconvenience to a customer and does something about it without prompting is worth doing business with. Keep up the excellent work, Be Unlimited.

It's alarming, even more than Andrew Llloyd Webber getting involved in Eurovision, when people get so uniformally euphorical about rating IT and Telecoms as they have done here. We've been through a number of such providers but have concluded that for all their downsides, BT are probably the safest bet.
