Regular flyer but I avoid LHR whenever possible. Dirty, dingy, crowded, inadequate, expensive, noisey. Staff have problems with the English language, authoritarian unhelpful and in need of a best friend to tell them about a personal problem, that is a fair assessment of LHR. I have written three times to complain about being assaulted during a security search but LHR refuses to accept that their staff could assault a passenger. I go out of my way and pay more to avoid LHR.

Can't think of one good thing to say about this terminal or it's staff or it's services. They are all horrendous.

Worst airport to travel to/from and believe me I've travelled in some extremely dodgy countries including Asia, Africa and Middle East. Their security personnel are not 'security' personnel they are ignorant thugs on a personal mission to make the life of the traveller hell. The whole security issue is being taken too far. Can carry a tube of toothpaste, handcream, toilet wipe. FINE, supply this stuff on the flight then! Especially when have a 10 hour flight. Doesn't matter what class you travel, these idiots treat you like something that crawled out from under a stone. Check in staff and airport personnel are ignorant. Most aiports these days are starting to treat passengers like inconveniences and criminals rather than 'their daily bread'. They really need to remember that, if it wasn't for us poor travellers putting up with their ignorance they would not have a job. They need taken down a peg or two and need to learn to treat their CUSTOMERS with some respect. You can't even complain these days. If you complain about being abused by staff, ignored, shouted at, delayed, luggage lost, you name it, all genuine complaints and as a CUSTOMER you should be perfectly entitled to complain, but no, if you complain at Heathrow they treat you like you're a terrorist and are likely to call the police claiming you're a terrorist because you had the cheek to complain that your luggage was currently in an unpronouncable Country.

I hope Terminal 5 can rescue Heathrow, because Terminal 2 is a shambles. Another piece of UK infrastructure that has stretched to its limit.
