Seen this site before I ordered and decided I would comment once I had got my site done. It’s done now and it works great, 3 weeks late on delivery but nothing else bad to report. Thanks for doing a great job.

Having now read some of the comments I thought I would leave a more detailed account of how I found dealing with them. Firstly I want to say I was asked by a competitor of this company to come to this website as I was about to place an order that was in December 1009. Ian said he used to work for them and that he left them and that the 1st page rankings don%u2019t work. I never take the work of sales people so I did my own research, he was claiming to be a director of the company he worked for but did not show on companies house %u2013 he had told me to look these ones up on companies house so I did and I looked him up. Nothing that Linesave said or did I could disprove where as Ian%u2019s story was all over the place. After talking to 6 companies about my new website they all seemed agitated about Linesave which made me think that normally people only get this bothered if competitors are good and they loose a lot of deal I know this because my company gets attacked by competitors all the time, why, because we are good and this whole thing seemed to be the same for me. In the end I went with Linesave true the sales person was good but you expect that form an organisation this size, the quotation detailed everything I would get and when. I decided to go and see them (a long way from our office in the Delta Business Park Swindon) and I pointed out that I had been shown this site and another one so they offered to reduce my risk by asking me to pay only 25% upfront and then spread the payments over set agreed points, I thought this was very fair and agreed everyone else wanted 50% up front (That just sounds stupid to me!) So we agreed 25% with order and they would send me a confirmation of order detailing again everything I will get and estimated time scales. Sure enough I had the confirmation, completed my paperwork and the next thing I got was a call from the design guy to run through things. The design guy sent me a logo over and after a couple of alterations I was happy, next they gave me a design of what the site might look like I told him about a couple of alterations and a couple of days later another version was sent through, I told him I liked that and asked what happens next well I had a call about two weeks later saying the design was being put on the site and I was sent a link to the design again a couple of things needs adjusting and I had a bit of a panic that turned out to be nothing to worry about, it was only that while they are doing the site it is on another web address and not mine but it goes on mine when it goes on the internet live (sorry for shouting %u2013 I understand now!). from then I spoke to a girl about putting my site live and having a holding page on it while I put all the content in (well actually while one of the girls in the office put all the content in is more accurate). Before that content could be put in the office girls were trained on how to add our products and pictures and the text on the pages. The feed back from the girls is that it is easier than they thought it would be which I am pleased about as I had agreed overtime for them to get it sorted. And here we are now the site has been up on the internet for a couple of weeks now, customers love this one and keeps saying how much better it is that our old one I even login in and change the odd price ( I never thought I would be doing that). To sum up my experience I would say pay as it is produced as it probably keeps them on there toes more, go and see who you are going to use and the whole thing took 9 weeks that was 3 weeks more than I was told but all the documents did say time scales are estimates so all in all I am very happy and I look forward to my site benefiting my company. Would I recommend them to a business friend yes, to a competitor no. You can all be the judge of your own experiences but what I would say is mine was good.

I had a SEO review from these guys and got a report which I did not really understand. Gave it to my web company and they understood it and did the work. They recon it was good so i'm happy. Nice one.

This is what I ordered, you can all see for yourself. http://www.linesave.co.uk/seo_report/SEO_Report.html
I suppose its like anything if you know it it is easy - I even spoke to some copmanies who said you cant get your site at the top of the search engines it is only luck! hey why dont they just say they dont know how to do it or buy one of these reports and learn how to do it. I say thanks to them and so does my local web company.. spread the love

With all the stuff on this site, it confuses me! I had dealings with them and did not have any problems, did not understand what I ordered but my local web company did and they said they will use my report to fix other sites they had made. I checked the terms and conditions and it did not say you can not do this so if anyone wants a copy of the report let me know and I will send it over. Lets face it they arnt the fastest workers but hey their search engine rankings are right at the top! They only charged me £250 for my report other companies wanted £3000 and they were not as high as these guys so I dont see that I had a bad deal. So my opinion is buy your seo report from them and share the love..... be real make a deal

Just to follow up on my previous comment that was written after lunchtime browsing and finding the ludicrous comments about Linesave.
I have now had my site live since Nov 22nd 2009, to recap my site was delivered in record time as i paid for fastrack, and everything about the site has been superb. I have continued to find the customer service with Linesave (Now Quantum) second to none. My site in the past 30 days has recieved 6500 visits and 44000 page views (Google anaylitics) it was extremely important that i gor serch term Academy of Sound to the top of the searches as I had purchased the trading name from an administrator and did not have the bonus of a clean slate with my company name. We got there within about 4-6 weeks.
Sales off the site, I am a musical instrument, equipment and pro sound and lighting super store, this is an extremely competative market, we have done 1000's of Pounds worth of sales (Not giving exact figures here that would be rude! but its good) The ammount of calls the site has generated to the store has been amazing and over christmas we were getting around 15-35 calls enquireing about products thay have seen on the site. The Content management system has been really great with all the staff (even Pete who we thought was still on Windows 3.1 at home) have embraced the system and have been adding internal links and YOUTUBE demos to the product pages.
I would still urge any person who has has any negativity about the company Linesave (or Quantum) to contact me. My name is Rob and I am the Managing Partner of Academy of Sound in Stoke on Trent 01782 205100

I stumbled upon Plebble whilst looking up Linesave and saw some comments on this site and had to comment!! I am a new customer with Linesave after moving from an Actinic Ecommerce system and i am overwhelmed with the results already achieved in only two weeks. As i sit here tonoght writing this comment I have dome the best part of £1500.00 of online sales. The content management system is simply amazing and i have all the staff in-store at any spare moment working on new product and new product update. The site is already ranking and witin 2 weeks our number of unique visitors according to Google Anylitics is better than our 2 Year old Actinic Site. The Level of sales we have experienced in this short time has already covered for the financial investment with Linesave. I am also impressed with the level of customer care Linesave offers with programmers and intergration specialists on the end of the phone to help with any problems....problems due to me wanting to run before i walk, but always solved. My site is in its infancy but I have made the right choice with all the payment options i could ever wish for. I am probably waffleing on now but i cannot stress enough to people reading what appears to be petty gripes from those who would like to think of themselves ans a competitor. Should any person want clarification of my experience with Linesave just visit the site www.theacademyofsound.com or call the number on the site.......ask for Rob

How pleasing that you are satisfied with the Linesave offerings. I am assuming that you are www.theacademyofsound.co.uk/ and not www.theacademyofsound.com (a dead link) as listed in your comment.

I can only imagine that the miraculous climb in ratings for this sleazeball company is a result of employee voting under direction from the 'management'... why am I surprised??

If you think Linesave were bad , wait till you see the claims of Quantum Web Solutions, who claim to be " a UK market leader " yet have only been registeded for a week (15/02/2010) as a company and strangly enough have a director and an address in common ? http://www.quantumweb.co.uk

Quantum stepped into the void left by the voluntary liquidation of Linesave UK Ltd, taking on their client base, domain name database and proprietary software, whilst seamlessly continuing a service of providing market leading website.
Now, which part of that statement, taken from Quantum's own website, do you not understand?
The new MD of Quantum is none other than the 'girlfriend' of one of the ex-Linesave principals. How strange is that ...

What I cannot understand is why the theacademyofsound website is still showing http://www.theacademyofsound.co.uk/linesave_uk/ when Linesave is no more, it is a deceased company. Ahha, I have just realised that their website was put together by Linesave and, they don't have the wherewithall to remove the offending page(s). Perhaps Quantum could lend a hand.

I decided to set up a website in July of this year, through which to sell my hand crafted gifts. When I started to source a potential web company, I was amazed by the amount of conflicting information i was receiving. I was then contacted by Linesave, who were fabulous. They analyzed my requirements, before then taking me through a number of online demonstrations, which helped a great deal in improving my knowledge of the Web. Once I decided to use Linesave, they nurtured me through every process of the development, until my website was delivered on time, and as promised, before the Christmas period. My website is now live and I wish to thank all at Linesave for a terrific job. I would recommend Linesave to anyone looking to launch their business online.

MMMMMMMM......anonymous!! thats big of you. please post your name and a link to your company. I would love to see what line of work you are in. I then could research your company and alert people to any bad press you may have recieved. Very ANNOYED with anonymous!!

I am posting these replies as the relation ship I have forged with Linesave has been an experience that I cannot recommend highly enough. I have contacted Linesave and asked them about these allegations. I have had frank and honest replies from them and would not resommend if you are a potential customer being put off by anything you read here or on any of the links. Do not be drawn in my malicious posts, make your own mind up. I can only go on my experience and i have delt with 100's of businesses ovthe the past 15 years and Linesave are in my top 10 good experiences.

mmhhhhh ... Anonymous is obviously a popular person. 5 of the 6 original Customer Views are from Anonymous so where does that leave us. Surely, if they were genuine customers who were delighted with the Linesave offerings, they would be shouting from the rooftops and, like you, trying to gain free advertising for their own websites. Certainly raises many questions about the validity of their comments. Perhaps the ripoffreport forum is far more representative of the 'true' customer experience.

Linesave helped me out a lot - building a site that ranked well on search engines and looks good to boot. All the members of staff I had dealings with went out of their way to explain how they could meet my requirements and went on to make my website look and function how I wanted it to. I would definately consider using them again.

Who is the person that replies to posts with such blatant negativity. If you want to make a point please stand up and be counted. Anyone can make flippant comments, but its those who make a valid point and put their name to it that actually count.
Those of us that have has a good experience with a company should shout about it more. It always the same ban news travels fast and those that have had a great job wil sit back quietly and enjoy the success and to be honest I would like less companies to use line save so i dont get too much competition for page one on google and other search engines.
Posted by AcademyofSound at 17:12 on 07-Dec-2009
I would imagine that the person who, in your words, "replies to posts with such blatant negativity", is the person who has had a negative experience with the company in question. So, are you suggesting that the Plebble forum should only be used by sycophants (dictionary deinition, to save you some time: a self-seeking, servile flatterer; fawning parasite)? Deary me, freedom of speech and all that it implies ...
Posted by (details private) at 13:42 on 10-Dec-2009
Freedom of speech and expression normally comes from somebody with a name who would like to air their personal point of view. I have done so stating my name "Rob" I have done so stating my company name "Academy of Sound", I have also done so giving my phone number should anyone want to substantiate my claims "01782 205100". I have aired my views with complete and total transparency.
Now others may have had a good time with Linesave but feel somewhat thretened by those who post what can only be described as malicious posts as they do not allow persons to check the substance to their argument. When freedom of speeck is stated you need to know who is talking!!

I couldn't be more pleased with what Linesave have done for my company. They've delivered everything they promised on time and on budget, working and looking exactly as I had hoped. My interaction with them was very enjoyable, always polite and friendly, and always putting exactly what I wanted at the forefront of everything they did. The results really speak for themselves as my ecommerce website now looks and operates fantastically, and I am elated to say that I'm now onto the first page of Google for my specified search terms. Thank you so much Linesave for all your hard work. Ryan Sanchez
