don't try this when you are easy to addiction! I admit that madbid is fun for me. I spend some few hundred pounds, but in all I profit from my won auction! really cool stuff on the site but I am still hoping that they put ipads on their site... delivery of products could be even faster but it's o.k. for my belongings, sometimes I use for this reason some kind of rush delivery. the service team was always quick if i had a concern via mail or phone. so in all I can suggest you the site but dont buy bids when there is no offer going round! - would like to see more 2 for 3 offers like last time...cheers!

I wasnt first of all sure if I can trust the whole system...by chance I found the site. I searched for online auctions on google. besides other websites I visited i decided for madbid. I couldnt loose anything I thought. free registration plus 2 bids. Unfortunately these 2bids were immediately over, so I decided to buy one of their packages. long story short. I actually won with my 50 bids I purchased two so called madbids packages and one ipod shuffle. I dont know if its always like this or if I had the luck to be there on the right time, but in all the system looks like fun and more important; they send me the ipod shuffle after a week! :-)

I joined this site after I saw an advert on TV, it was a little confusing at first but after I had watched the auctions a bit and went through their little video tutorial I figured I could take advantage of their loss leaders to make some easy money. As a new user I get a 2nd bid package free and was able to bag myself a nice box of chocolates and 50 quid for an outlay of just £45 and a few hours of fun.

I've been using MadBid off and on for just over a year now, they have tried a lot of different things, some have worked, others have been disasters. I saw one guy get an oz of gold, worth almost £600 for like 8p. They really seem to make money on the big ticket items like iPhones and laptops, seems like anything else you can get a bargain on with just a little strategy. Even then though, the site seems to be more about having fun than consistently getting the best deals. At least on MadBid they don't rig the odds against you like a lot of other places do.

This site is on page 1 foor google search for MadBid, so thought had to write something ... I like that MadBid customer service team call back and keep in touch. They are a decent lot. I think I tend to win products but never go for cars and gold products. Not for me, I want to make money here. I don't like is they move prices around, sometime huge discount and suddenly no discount. Get it right guys!!

Have used Madbid several times now and really got into how it works. Don't know what it was like before, but my impression that I got was good - and somehow they also got some positive, premier press coverage. So far, only won Bidpacks, but lost the majority of in auctions for real products. Still aiming for an iPod - and sure to get it. And if so, that's a real bargain - so I don't see the scam if you understand the rules.

I have to say that the first time I heard about MadBid was on the Radio. I searched it online and found out that I can test the website for free - so I did. Quite a fun and exciting site. One has to be careful about not spending too much though. All the videos on the madbid.com look very real and I have a good experience. The customer service department at least picked up the phone when I called. I would leave it for yourself to test it out and see what you think.

I've been using MadBid for a while...mainly for fun and procrastination...Recently the delay after the bidding time ends has increased. The "How It Works" clearly states that the "when the timer reaches zero, the highest bidder wins". This is not even close to being the case...When the timer reaches zero, there is a period of more than 5 seconds when it reads "Checking results" - when people can still place bids. I could understand if this was to just put through the autobids, but allowing people to bid after the time's up, is just plain unfair. Very convenient, since many auctions now go well past this time, hence more further bids - more money for them - even starting a whole new cycle of bidding when that auction should have been over. I won an item the other day...then it checked for more than 5 seconds after the timer ran out and somebody else bid in that time...the item eventualy sold for £15 pounds more than when I won it. i.e. they made more than £1500 extra. In my view this clearly violates what they're advertising. In addition you have people stalking the website, not participating until that "Checking results" appears...making their bids last infinitely longer, since they make other people do the running and exhausting their bids and then just going for the kill when everyone else is out of bids. Suppose if you can't beat them, join them, but the site has become pointless...counted delays up to 15 seconds today... Maybe a month ago it was still something fun to do (like the LOTTO), now it's got scam written all over it. STAY WELL AWAY....

Change your internet connection. If you use rubbish you will get Checking result ... I rarely see that!

I totally agree with the unfair behaviour of MADBID. Rnshu... try this out. Once a bid is abt to be closed.... i.e. once it says "checking results", try to bid. It will start the loop with your name. I tried yesterday after 5 seconds of "checking results", and guess what... it started the loop again with my bid. I tried today twice and this happens the same with popular items. I tried with once again for "10 bids give away"and it doesn't happen on that. Try it. You will figure it out. For information.... my internet is superb. I can download 1 Gb of data from rapidshare in 4 minutes.

System has crashed several times over this weekend. In fairness to madbid it did return all of the bids I had placed on the day the site crashed. What it has not compensated for is the HOURS of time that I spent bidding. What a total waste of time! Site crashed on Saturday AND Sunday this last weekend. What a mess!
