I haven't seen any comments from ex-Inzo landlords about their tenants possibly having the ability to go to the County Court to get deposits secured. If tenants take this course of action the landlord can be fined 3 times the deposit payable to the tenants. I'm interested in comments about whether this applies where deposits were taken by a letting agent on behalf of the landlord.

As a landlord affected by this case: the other landlords should ask the Directors and administrators at tomorrows meeting a number of question in my absence: I unfortunately cannot attend tomorrows meeting regarding Inzo and Tenon, the liquidators. To all those who are going please be sure to ask the following questions in my absence. Why didn't the Directors have a separate DPS insured account for all Deposits? Have Inzo used Rents paid and tenants deposits for the failing operation illegally? If so, then has Inzo been trading as an Insolvent company for the past 6 months, again illegally? I gather from Anna at Tenon Recovery that one of more of the Directors have put in claims for Salary Expenses unbelieveably, so be sure to mention this tomorrow also. Good luck to all the attending Landlords. Give them hell. Keep me posted.

All landlords that are owed money from Inzo should received a letter from Tenon Recovery regarding the liquidation of Inzo and the Creditors meeting this Friday 24th April at 10.30 am. If not, you should ring them and attend the meeting.

So what are you specifically going to do..pay your tenants deposit back to them up front from your own money, or wait until the liquidation funds, if any, remain and they will be paid from that?? S

It appears that INZO has not safeguarded tenant deposits as required by law and landlords are now liable to pay these deposits back to tenants at the end of the contract. Refunding tenant deposits should receive priority preference in liquidating the company followed by rents received but not paid.INZO had no right to use other peoples funds to finance their operations as this is tantamount to theft.

Inzo also have my tenants deposit of over £4,000 which I assume they have stolen. I'm planning on going to the creditors meeting on Friday to confront them. If they haven't been able to place our deposits with the relevant schemes it sound to me like they they have been trading whilst insolvant for some time! I'm all for taking further action against these cheats.

Inzo have stolen nearly £4,000 which was a deposit from my tenants, the tenants are now trying to claim this from me. Police have been contacted regarding criminal charges as by the looks of it all deposits should have been kept in a DPS insured scheme. I wonder whne they stole all this money....probably as soon as the deposits hit there account. There was only one account they used apparently according to Tenant Recovery company who are the potential liquidators (not until 24th April) when there is a Sharholder meeting at 83 Baker Street......hhmmmmm I believe it is probably worth a visit to see these Shareholders and discuss face to face the future proceedings. John I emailed you earlier, I welcome a discussion of this issue.

I dealt with inzo and agree that the payment side was awful, the lettings staff and particularly the manager Chistian i found excellent at their jobs but unfortunately there accounts department i found out of the receptionist was run by their director David Namany. He left the office to deal with all the calls and i felt very sorry for the guys especially Kristian for the abuse he got from myself in the early stages and i imagine many others when he had no control over it. When i found out eventually that it was the director fobbing everyone off i asked for David Namanys contact details but the staff were not allowed to give it out. In my opinion the staff in that office would have run a sucessfull business without this coward and liar of a director David Namany being so dishonest. I wonder if he gave any thought to how this has affected the lives or his ex clients and employees? I doubt it.

In response to the last post from an Inzo employee... what a load of rubbish. I have been frantically telephoning, emailing, writing and visiting Inzo in person for the last six weeks because of unpaid rent to me (the landlord). I did everything from threatening legal action, trading standards and the press to begging for the money owed to me. The managing director David Namane and manager Kristian Barker fobbed me off with "accounts are dealinhg with it and we cant give you their contact details" and then disappeared into thin air. I'm now left owing over 4k. You're telling me that's "providing the best service you could" and want me to appreciate the work you have put into the company? The work of avoiding customers you have stolen from.
